About this idea
A network‑level app that lets a central admin create, schedule, and track tournaments across dozens of game spaces, with automatic bracket syncing, cross‑space rankings, and unified prize distribution.
Home
Network – the app is owned by a tournament federation that runs many game spaces (online servers, LAN venues, school clubs, regional leagues). All data lives in the network layer and rolls up from each space.
Purpose
Provide a single source of truth for multi‑space competitive play, handling creation, seeding, scheduling, results collection, and prize payouts across all participating spaces.
Who uses it
- Network admin (tournament director) sets up seasons, rules, and prize pools.
- Space admins (venue or server owners) import the network’s brackets, report match results, and view local schedules.
- Players see their personal standing via the network’s leaderboard, but the app itself lives at the network level.
Today's workaround
Organizers cobble together Google Sheets, Discord bots, and separate bracket tools for each venue, leading to mismatched scores, manual data entry, and inconsistent prize distribution.
Why a dedicated app
- Centralized tournament definition (game modes, match length, anti‑smurf filters) that propagates automatically to every space.
- Real‑time bracket syncing: when a space reports a result, the network updates the global bracket instantly.
- Cross‑space ranking aggregation with ELO or custom rating, visible to all participants.
- Automated prize pool calculation and distribution based on network‑wide results.
- Reporting dashboards for the federation to monitor participation, latency, and fair‑play metrics across all spaces.
The app scales from a handful of local clubs to a global esports circuit, always keeping the network’s data authoritative while allowing each space to operate independently.
